finally got it running real good

hey guys

I'm a newbie here. i have been lurking around for a bit after i bought my 91 eagle talon TSI.


I done all the spring cleaning and checking everything then i started the modding. First is swapping in a new fuel pump (255lph) then added a 16g turbo and ported the stock exhaust manifold. i gutted the cat and then cut the tail pipe off rite in front of the rear wheel due to the muffler being stopped up from the cat coming apart. i added a MEGASQUIRT EFI ECM. Tehn i done away with the MAF sensor and added a k/n filter. I also added a spearco FMIC.

i have been tuning it in the street for a bit and then decided to take it and get it tuned on the dyno. @ 16 psi of boost it made 270 whp with 276 wtq. on 93 octane fuel with no knock @ all. this car is showing 156k on the clock too! i feel certain that i could have made more power with ease but hell all it does now is melt the tires along with some crazy torque steer.

all my mods that i have done to the car has costed me just a tad over 900 bucks and i paid 1600 for the car and had to punt in axles and lower ball joints.

sounds like its coming along real nice, i have the same turbo setup, and am waiting to install my dsmlink to get it tuned, but at least i know what kind of power i should be making with the 16g.

thanks this thing has been fun modding and it's real fun to drive in the street. i just wish my grand national was that cheap to mod !
