finally decided on my exhaust.

After much deliberation and research, I believe I have found the perfect exhaust set up. I am going to be putting on the wide body from kaminari and I want to use the stock muffler, I just like the way it looks. I may modify the muffler to use a different tip though. I'm going to run 3 inch from the turbo back, put a cut out about 3/4 of the way back and step down to factory pipe for the stock muffler. Opinions, tips and other ideas welcome.

My phone decided it wanted ti label this as resolved. Pay no attention to that. Or can I change that somehow

What is the point of this? The reason to get exhaust is to be less restrictive for the air. Web you go back down to sock pipe you are causing restriction again. Just do all 3 inch and get a muffler off of a cobalt ss or something that has a stock high flow exhaust and than you can just use whatever tip you want.

Sleeper and show, I dont like the look of the large mufflers. When I drive around town I would habe the cut out closed, but when its race time or when I want the performance open it up.

the cutout is a great thing especially if you are in a state that is picky about anything performance. I would have done the same but in texas I haven't ever had a problem with cops caring about my exhaust. If tennessee looks under the car to see if you have a cat then you might want to think about hollowing out the stock cat and running your exhaust through it so it has the appearance of having a cat on it. Just a thought

I mainly have to stay legal until I hit Maryland. I get out of the army soon and am moving back home. Good thing is Maryland only requires 1 inspection for as long as you own the car.

I'm sorry about my last post. I didn't see that you said you were ping to do a cut out. I was under the impression you were planning on welding the 3 inch to the stock pipe 3/4 down. Sorry for the confusion.

It's all good, I'm sure we are all guilty of missing a thing or 2 every now and then

Some sanctioning bodies do not allow the exhaust to be dumped under the car. You may want to look into this, in case you want to do some form of formal racing.

I really dont have the appeal for sanctioned races. I. Just like to go out to the local drag strip every now and then.
