I have a FIAV bypass, and im wondering what is the differenc between the Block off and the Bypass. I know the Block off you take out the ISC, and pretty much the bottom of the throttle body. But Im wondering if I still need to hook up my coolant lines for the throttle body. Since I still need to keep the bottom half of the throttle body.

no you can leave the coolant lines unhooked. you will have to loop the lines on the coolant pipe itself though.

also the by pass keeps the idle control solenoid functioning. if you get the block off you will have a hard time holding an idle when its cold out from what many different threads state. i just filled the fiav passages with jb weld and its been good ever since.

Does anyone know where you can get a bypass plate with a better price than $21 @ ExtremePSI? Also I was wondering what the install procedure is on the bypass (pics would be nice if you have them LOL

thanks.

If you want to do it right, you have to block it off.. But if your in colder climate, Go with Bypass so you can have the ISC motor... But not sure how much it will help with idle...

Thanks turbosax. $12 with shipping VS $150 for a fiav from the junkyard with 255,000km on it? No competition.

Ehh, I already purchased it. I'd rather not block it off though, it can get pretty cold some days.

AHH BC I didn't see that.

I didn't have to hard of time with mine but I didn't drive it but 3 or 4 times this winter.
