I am sad to announce that Matan owner of AWD Performance has passed away. Matan was a fellow DSMer, an entrepreneur, a great dyno-tuner, but most of all a good friend. He was one of the coolest, most down to earth people i have ever met. We were planning on having a dyno meet on May 26th at his shop, even though we might not dyno the meet will still go on in his rememberance. :dsm:

R.I.P. Matan, that was my boy man, i was gonna get tuned that day too, and pick up some parts, but he's in a better place now. Later Matan much love to his family.Prayers go out to them
 
R.I.P. Matan sorry you are gone from the last dyno day it was fun, iam sorry to hear this happen.
 
RIP, my prayers go to his friends and family, He will always be remembered.
 
I'm glad I was able to meet Matan last year, when we all went down to the Dyno meet in May.
I was still an Eclipse new comer at the time, but he gave me plenty of information to me on my car and set me in the right direction. I will never forget when I was leaving, him running out to my car saying..Wow this thing is like brand new or what? Made me laugh..I will never forget that. He will surely be missed by us all. RIP Matan (Heavenly DSM'er)

Matan was my best friend i was helping him come out of where he was a move on to bigger things. He was not only a fellow "DSM person" he was respected friend as well as business partner. Iam sorry for those who did not get the chance to meet him in person.
 
Im calling out to all Socal DSM heads. Iam working on something for the shop in Vetura. If you have any picture of him please send them my way. I need them in the High Res. If possible so i can blow them up.

OMG! I just had a nice chat w/ him about a week ago. My condolences to his family. R.I.P. Matan!
 
RIP Terrorize (Maton)

I don't know if any of you guys have heard about what happened to Maton. All I know is that he was in a car accident and didn't survive. Does anyone elso have any info? I would like to send my regards to his family, he was a great guy, and its sad to see something bad happen to somone good.:cry:

Morning Report: Officials identify man killed in solo crash

Police and Fire: Officials this morning identified a 24-year-old man killed Wednesday night when the car he was driving struck a tree along eastbound Highway 126 in Ventura.

Matan Zaks of Littlerock was pronounced dead at 9:56 p.m. at the crash site, said Michael Feiler, a Ventura County senior deputy medical examiner.

Zaks was traveling eastbound on Highway 126 about a half-mile east of Kimball Road in Ventura when he lost control of his car, officials said.

The vehicle slammed into a palm tree on the side of the road, hard enough to uproot it, according to the Ventura City Fire Department.

The California Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.

:cry: this is one of the saddest things I've ever encountered, he was a good friend to me. He taught me how to do my first turbo swap, and how to dyno tune. I just talked to him like 2 days before this, he was always a positive upbeat person with something good to say. I can still remember how he would always end the conversation with "be safe" I will NEVER forget him.
