fed or ca emissions?

Ok i was lookinf at Vfaq and saw different part numbers for a 1g awd Ecu, theres federal and california emissions. Now how do i know whether mine is fed. or ca.? And also it says from 3/89 to 6/90 are different part numbers and 6/90 to 6/92 its a different part number, my little sticker on the door says June 1990, one part number ends on the same one as the other on starts? So what do i do?

You check the number on the ECU using either Vfaq or the link 1GawdJunkie posted to figure out which one you need.

The sticker on the door will also say whether it was built to Federal or California emissions stardards.
