I have 2 sets of OEM injectors from a 92 FD Efini RX7. I have looked and all I found were threads on 2nd and 1st gen injectors none on 3rd so I am wondering if they fit? I might just see if I can get them to work but thought I would ask first

I don't know the direct answer to your question, However, What I would do in your situation is take the injectors in question down to the local parts store and compare them to the demotions of a stock injector for a DSM with a mic or caliper. :thumb:

Thanks for the input I ll do that after I check type of plug it is and if it fits in the fuel rail

I think I figured it out. I don't think 88 to 95 RX7 injectors will work in these motors at least with the stock ecu I just read this and its the only difference I could see. 84-87 RX7 injectors and DSM injectors are Peak and Hold type where as the FD Rx7 injectors I want to use are saturated. I could be wrong it is just something I just read about the differences. But they have similar plugs and I almost was able to plug the FD injectors into the stock harness. Might just forget about it unless someone can correct me.

You need to setup for high impedance to run them. I will tell you this about later model rx7 injectors, they are hit and miss. I ran various club and NASA events for 7 years in a 3rd gen rx7 and an 81 with a s5 turbo2 motor. I used to have a basket in my garage full of bad rx7 injectors. On both cars I had factory primaries. I would have to send off 4 or 5 at a time to rc engineering just to get 2 useable ones. They were always leaky and messed up and deemed unserviceable. These are injectors that supposedly came out of "good" running cars. I think that has a lot to do with some of these blowing so many rotary motors. They are running f'ed injectors and they don't even realize it.

Btw I'm pretty sure they are denso irc, kind of scary to think about really.

It would be cheaper to sell those injectors and use that money to buy some low impedence injectors designed for a DSM. All used injectors are hit and miss in my book. You never know if they were flow matched, or how long and at what duty cycle they were run. I've had very good luck, but I get mine flow tested. Also, from one of your other comments, it seems like you want to run bigger injectors on a stock tune, this will not work!! If the car runs at all it will run stupid rich, as the injector deadtime and flow scaling is not matched properly without a tune.
