Farewell N/T GUYS!

Many of you know that after investing close to 3,000 on an all motor buildup this summer the car ran for a total of 651 miles then the oil pump fell off and the timing skipped bending all of the valves on the head. I have decided to call it quits with DSMs for good. I need something reliable for college that doesnt leave me stranded on the side of the road at 12:30 at night like the laser has done many times. I am going to be financing a 2003.5 Blazing Yellow Mica Mazdaspeed Protege (phew... that was a long name).

I wanted to thank everyone in this forum for our continuous stream of good ideas, innovation, and knowlage of our "unpopular" cars. We didnt take crap from the Turbo guys when they came in here, we did our thing and kept at it. Many of us have done things in the last couple months alone that have helped our community immensly. (I.E. BIG THANKS TO PUNISHMENT RACING FOR TAKING THE TIME TO HELP OUR COMMUNITY) and to thunderskull for testing their products!

You guys keep it up, dont take crap from the turbo guys, and have fun with your DSMs.

I officially sold the car yesterday off of the classifed section here and a man in KC drove up to pick it up yesterday. If any of you guys are aware of my modifications and would like to purchase any of them, most are for sale or will be shortly. PM me or Email me.

Have fun with the protege. Make sure you do NOT modify the motor on that car, all they do is blow up. Weak rods and weak diffs in the trans cause them to blow up with even a 4-5psi boost increase. Just finished doing a motor on one at the shop, and another customer blew the "LSD" diff on the street with 12psi ...

Just keep it stock and don't drive it hard in the corners and you'll be fine. They are nice cars otherwise.

He never ran it because the magnus intake manifold took away all his power made it slower than stock and the motor went before he could change it

DSMJim - Yea... The consenous is that around 9-10psi on stock internals is about the safe limit. Of course there is one crazy bastard on msprotege.com that is has been running 15psi on stock internals since he bought it with no problems. I'm not gonna even think about it. And a quife LSD is the first mod i'm doing! Too many stock LSD's going out. The car handles like its on RAILS. Absolutley amazing handling. Real fun car, and I dont even have one yet.

Good luck with ur new mazda protege dude! Its sad to hear peeps leaving DSM tuners forums, Same here...my eagle talon just gave up shifting on my way to work. I joined the new world of Mazda 6 forums after I leased a 2004 5 door hatch back mazda 6 v6, but I like this forums better than the mazda 6. I give alot of credits to those guys that spend alot of time keeping up their DSM's in top shape, keep it up guys ! Ne ways have fun with ur new Mazda
