u know i think us n/t guys with our 420a's deserve a lot of credit. has anyone noticed that if u pull up beside a honda and they figure out u have a n/t they get a automatic smirk on there face like its an pos? since all the hype in the dsm world revolves aroung gsx and gst, they here non turbo and say to themselves easy kill. but the truth is a 420a can keep its own against most hondas. u might loose, espicially against the guys with hatchbacks running 1.8's, but damm if u make it close they will think again when they see a gst or gsx badge. we pave the way for the respect a gsx and gst gets, and i want some credit for it LOL
 
Hear hear my N/T brother! We may be low on horsepower, but not balls when it comes to taking them on.
 
Yup, I have to agree that our cars are beautiful and flowing compared to Honda Civics. Having been in the performance industry before, our Civics went the quickest (especially when we stuffed turbo-adapted Integra GSR motors in them), but our Eclipses always turned heads. Dang those things were a biatch to work on though.
 
yea i get a lot of looks in my gs.. u know whats best is an eclipse looks good stock... cant say that bout a lot of cars... u take an eclipse and throw on some 17's and ur in bizz.. i just have to make sure they only look at the left side of mine for now LOL.. bought it salvage and rebuilt it.. got the new right fender on and painted back to stock but still have a busted up pass door on it.. still though.. from the right side its one smooth machine...
 
No shit I know how ya feel, ther is a kid with a Civic SI in my town that is always trying to get me to race him, well I was cruising main st. wich leads to the interstate almost a strait shot. He was right on my ass so I rolled down my window waved my arm, droped it from 3rd to 2nd and floored it the ####er tried to keep up with me but could not, he had a bunch of girls in his car and when we were done they wanted to get in with me, I pulled over after and he was like Holly shit dude I have alot more respect for your car eveeryone in town said your car was all show and no go..I was like whatever ####er, so we are going to do a drag race this summer. little does he know I am going to buy a GS-T and drop 20K into the motor :thumb: got my insurence check for 150k today. yeah yeah I could buy a newer sports car but I love dsm's "To the lady who broke my back in so many ways, I love my money and Im sure your insurence company hates your bi*** ass for being such a stupid bi*** and drinking and driveing. Hope you like jail bi***"

yeah dude, thats bad ass. My friend is building a 93 Talon NT sleeper, he owns a 92 Laser Turbo that has been in a small roll over. all body damage, so he is swaping turbos since they are both 4g63's

I hear you on putting more money into your car, but why not build your 420A and turbo the thing to 400+ reliable horsepower with a Hahn Racecraft kit? While you have plenty of money to play with, you could save a bunch and not pay a dime more in insurance since you're still driving a GS. If I had 5-6K to drop into my motor, that's what I'd do. Then we're talking sleeper until they hear the BOV and go running for mommy.

O I am going to be doing that also, But I am going to be building one more as a show car and one as a full out Scream Machine. But I prob will just buy another GS one with less miles on it build them both up make the one with less miles good looking also with a good sound system full body kit tricked out paint job you know, then make the one I own now my race car. But it would be nice to have AWD behind all that horse power.
 
I love being the underdog everyone thinks the N/T Sucks. When I pull up people see the fmic and think it is a GS-T, then when I tell them it is an RS there like "oh it's JUST an RS"...... JUST an RS give me a brake here I have put alot of work into my car and will not settle for 2nd best Iam going for the gold. " THE FASTEST 420A record."
so HRC look out. Give me until APRIL I'll have everything done. Then people will give me my credit.:dsm:
 
There's nothing wrong with the N/Ts, and quite a few less things to go wrong. And you still get all the good looks. All that keeps them from seeming like "excellent" cars is that they put out the turbos and AWD, and the people who bought those new had to pay through the nose for the details.
 
And who gets the most looks at the drag strip? The 420a turbo ... people appreciate the work and love checking my bay out. I get all the looks in the engine while the 4g63s get passed by. Its a nice feeling.
 
I have an older brother who's a Master ASE Mechanic for Mitsubishi and he's told me before that while the 420A is a pain to work on, it's one of the finest motors ever made for a four cylinder. I really can't argue there and I have to agree with you about Turbo 420A's. They're interesting, different and certainly get plenty of looks.

I've owned and driven much faster cars than my N/T GS, but for some reason, it's the car I've enjoyed the most although I just started modding it (after being the second owner in nine years). Must be that beautiful body.
 
hell ya the n/t rs and gs rock. i love my rs and when i bought it i really didn't know what i had. other than the fwd i think its great ... and it looks as good or better than my g-f.. well maybe not. no but really its a beautiful car and i would rather have the lower insurance rate of an rs and surprise the hell out of some dumb honda than have a ton of $$$ in a gst or gsx and the high insurance rate... gotta love the N/T:dsm: :thumb:
