STORY: well the previous owner of my car had the fans wired straight to the battery, which i dont really like i want to return it to stock. Ok since the previous owner ran the fans directly to the battery he cut orginal fan harness that plugs up to the fans picture~>

so i connected this part of harness back on the car.

then i started working on this. I cut the input plug off the OEM fan put it together so they can plug up. so i went to the car to do a test. I Pluged everything up, let the car warm up then started revving it to a point where the car should get hot. But the fans did not switch on, this is what im thinking maybe that part of the harness isnt getting any power, oo yeah my temperature gauge( stock one on cluster doesn't fuction) does't work, or water temperature sensor, i really dont know, another thing when i plugged the fan up to the AC side that plug was never kinked with if i turned on the ac button the fans would run which i thought would. any input/help would be apperciated
thanks,
-Dave.

All i can recomend check your connections,i bealive there a fuse ( correct me if im wrong) and there has to be a reason why the other owner had it stright to the battery maybe he F*** up some wiring,So just follow the wires and make sure there all legit.

If your temp sensors arent working correctly the fasn want work right. The car has to know when to turn the fans on and it does this by the sensors. IF yours is like the 2gb then you have to different switchs. One for the gauge and the other which operates the fans. Is your check engine light on. If so have it checked and see if it says your temp sensors are bad. Mine thru a cel when my temp sensor went bad and my car started running hot, i had to replace the sensor to get my fans to work without having to turn on the ac to make them run

+1 You probably have a bad temp. sensor in your T-stat housing. Actually, you probably have both a bad temp. sensor and a bad temp. sending unit since you said that your gauge doesn't work either. Get 'em replaced and then see if it works. Also, your OEM fans should kick on right around 210* if everything is functioning properly...you can check it with a logger.

thanks for the re-ensurance ive thought of all of these , so im going to change my temperature sensor and temp sending unit. hopefully this will be the problem, i just recived my slim fans today im kinda happy :thumb:
