I am installing a Fal slim fan in my friends 92 talon tsi while he is in Afghanistan.

I have searched on how to do this but I would like to double check before I cut into wires. Here is a crappy diagram of what I intend to do...

Passanger side, take the stock connector off of the fan, solder the two + and the two - cables together and solder them to the + and - going to the fal fan. On the drivers side I will cut the two wires 1 + and 1 - going to the fan and solder the fal fans wires accordingly, then mount the harnesses and adaptors to the fan so it will turn on and off with the AC...

Is this correct and is this all that must be connected. Thanks

Can't read the words. Need better image than that. By your words it seems ok. Wow DSM's are really multiplying in Northern Iowa since I left. I remember when my mid 11 sec. 92 TSi was unheard of LOL. I would wire one to the temp. sender though instead of just the A/C fans so they come on by themselves and not just when you turn the A/C switch on.

Got it put in, had to do some stuff to get it to fit as its an aftermarket radiator.

The pass side has +/- going to the temp sensor, and the drivers side I hooked it up as above...

I start up the car and the fans turn on blowing air twards the engine, after a bit they go off its cold outside and I do not know if they are suppose to stay on the whole time if the engine is cool?

So two questions, are the fans suppose to be blowing the direction they are tward the engine, and should the passanger side fan ever go off?

I see the fans are suppose to go on and off. When I have my AC on both fans will run a bit then go off. and back on etc...

With the AC off the passanger side comes on now and then like it should, but the drivers side comes on with it every now and then for a bit... I was under the impression that it shouldnt come on unless the AC was on.

The temp gauge in the car (stock) has not went past half way with regular driving while I was testing it out.
