I have seen a couple posts mentioning fake frame rails under the car that you should not jack the car up by? Does anyone have a pic of these fake rails? Are they the runs running very close to the center of the eclipse?

Their being bent would not effect the overall frame of the eclipse would they? Just wonder as i was laying under the new eclipse the other day I noticed that a PO had put a couple dents in them from jacking the car up by them.

They aren't misaligned just some nice dents running up and down them from someone putting a jack under them. Noticed the dents and gave them a couple taps with a knuckle and didn't seem to be a thick metal, figured they would be ok but could tell they weren't ment to hold a lot of weight of the car.

They're bends that are suppose to match up with the little scissor jack that comes with the spare tire. I think so the jack is less likely to slip and let the car come down on you. That and I think it helps with the correct placement of the scissor jack.

Them being bent is only cosmetic damage.

Those "bend" are on the lip where the floorpan and side stampings meet. This is about the rectangular boxes underneath the pan, further inboard. They're about 2"X1" and come back to the seats from the firewall.
