I love big brakes. They can stop a car faster, you can brake later in to a turn, and the car just feels better when you have them. What I think is even better than big brakes are FAKE big brakes! You know the sky is falling when people are making a living off of FAKE big brakes. As a true enthusiast, you can’t even imagine the concept, right? I was cruising eBay and I found this crock of shit:

They look real at first, but then without reading carefully, I scrolled down and saw this:

I was like, WTF? Then I read carefully and saw the word “cover” in the description. You might ask, how the hell does this attach to your stock brakes? Well, if a dumbass is thinking of fake big brakes, then you have to think on the dumbass level. Glue, how else?

I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. Is this bullshit for real? Then I looked at the guy’s store page here: eBay Store - fashionhiso2009: BREMBO, ENDLESS

Its not just limited to Brembos though. They even have fake Endless brakes:

Some people are ####ing lame.

Anybody using these yet? :p

I mean if it's just covers I don't see why not, it's not like they are a hazard?

and then i'm sure they take there car to pep boys to get an oil change and the kid calls everyone over to have a good laugh and then has to have call you over so you can break the covers off so he can do the brake job.

Are you serious? LOL

Ever done a brake job? Also, why would you pretend to have something you dont? Almost as bad as a 3000gt with ferrari emblems on it.

except that that silicone probably wont stand up to the heat and will let loose. i dont know what that cover is made of but that has bad news all over it.

That is a hazard and is propably illegal in a way because you'd think something like that has to be D.O.T approved. That silacone will casue some serious issues if it got inbetween the pads and rotors! That cover looks plastic! Warped melting plastic = trouble!

its gonna be real good when some ricer gets his hands on these and installs them with the bleeder screw DOWN!

then i can REALLY have a good laugh!

Crap. I need to come up with something like this. This working-for-a-living idea gets old.
Only drawback I can see is that they might melt. Otherwise, these covers do about as much as most brake-swappers ever need.

Next thing you know people are gonna start selling fake turbos. Looks real from the outside but exhaust flows strait through. Get that turbo look without the price or performance.

Thanks for my get-rich-quick scheme. All I'll have to do is package them with an exhaust whistler so you get the sound of a turbo too!

Always willing to help 4g63powered. You might want to have some fake intake piping go through the hollow compressor housing and a fake FMIC too. Maybe just as an option b/c it can't cost too much.

I must be the only person that thinks these look good. I agree that the glue thing is RETARDED, but i think that %50 of the reason that people buy brembos is for the looks. If these weren't so possibly dangerous i would buy them, after i get new rotors and pads so they look good.
