I'm hooking up my viper 791xv alarm and for the factory alarm arm and disarm wires, I can't seem to find. I found two of each in the driver's kick panel but since my OEM alarm only arms some of the time, the wires won't register on my volt meter. Does any one know the exact location of these wires so I don't have to guess? At least please tell me if there located under the kick panel.

From looking on the sheets we use at my job it says those wires are in the kick panel area or to be certian they will be in the drivers door boot also, coming from the sensor in the door. I have the clifford version of the 791xv on my car and i also installed a 791xv on my buddys 97 gsx and neither one of them had to have the factory alarm arm or disarm wire up. You really dont need use the factory arm wire because you are using an aftermarket alarm. But if it keeps setting you factory a;arm off you will need the disarm wire.

if your car has factory alarm, it ill be in a "malex" plug in the door. best best to get to it is high in the driver kick remove the black carpet like cover. unscrew the cover and pull the plug in the car. if i remeber right, its a green/white wire? not 100%.. both wires are in that plug.

inorder to test is the factory is arming. open the door.. put the key in and lock it. or u may have to close the door. that is arm it

Thanks for the replies. Another question comes up and thats my door trigger wire from the viper is hooked up to a red/white wire that catches the doors and rear hatch and there's no domelight delay on that wire. Does this seem right or should it be on the red/green wire? Because when I disarm the viper and open a door sometimes the alarm will sound and the viper LED will return a #3 which is door trigger tamper. Thanks again.

When you disarm the alarm it shouldnt go off, unless your using the factory remote. But on my 97gst i used the red/green wire. i didnt get it in the kick panel though i found it dehind the dash panel. And it will just give you a reminder chirp when you arm the alarm to say that there is a door open. But it will reset itself when the domelight goes out. And it will also work the rear hatch 2. Or at least the one i hit got my rear hatch.

Thanks for your help bluetlr2001. I'm headed out now to find the factory disarm wire and I'm good to go, thanks.
