i got a car and don't know the history of it, like if the tranny fluid has ever been changed 2nd gear and 5th gear synchros are on the way out should i change the fluid? Or will this flush important parts out and make everything go to hell fast like ive heard from people.

thats b\s, the idea sounds like a throwback to automatic trannies. some people do think that if an auto has'nt had the fluid changed for years then you are better off leaving it in. the reasoning for it is that auto tranny fluid has seal conditioners in it to keep seals soft, after years of use the fluid looses the conditioners and the seals harden and crack some, if you change the fluid and add new seal conditioners to worn, hardened, cracked seals they will soften and swell up and then you will have a leak.

thats what i figured, but wanted to make sure. guess i'll get some fluid and lucas tommorow.

Don't bother with the Lucas. Just switch to Pennzoil Synchromesh.
