Scarborough,
Hey guys, I have a 1990 JDM motor in a 1995 Eagle Talon TSI. The motor comes with an external oil cooler housing, so I have an external oil cooler off a 1990 DSM. Having that said, I need to relocate my external oil cooler right now. I have a FMIC (26X12x3) and the cooler is just behind that, but it blocks a lot of the rad. So what kind of lines I should get and fittings and where can I get them from? Any tips on relocating this external oil cooler and anything I should look out for? Thats about it. THank you.

BTW, it is a stock external oil cooler from a 1990 US DSM.

I went to a hydraulic specialty place and took an old banjo bolt in and had them match the thread up and used 6an ss line from that it works very well and was not that expensive.

I believe the bajo bolt thread is M16x1.5 so screw them into the bottom of the cooler and right into the housing then get the line and fittings and your done.

also if you can put the cooler in the drivers side of the front bumper so it gets direct air it works great in there

if you want i can get some pics for you

I have the same size intercooler and I'm also running my external oil cooler between the IC and the radiator with no problems. But if you're set on relocating it and getting those pretty lines and fittings, a good spot to consider mounting it would be behind the driver side wheel well with some home depot ducting. Here's a pic of my friends ride. Keep in mind this is a 1g.
