exhuast sytems?

ok so i just bought a apexi' N1 that deletes the cat. i was wandering what cat back exhaust i could/should use i have a custom one right now but it needs to have the muffler chopped off because its a 2.5 inlet. but i was wandering if i could use maybe a Megan racing cat back or something else because i was told (don't know if true) that apexi' only bolts up to apexi

Bluntly, if you want a specific system to -bolt up- to what you already have then you can simply have a muffler shop either weld it up directly or make a custom flange/mating.

If it doesn't fit just have a shop cut off the flange, rotate it, and re-weld it. Shouldn't cost more than $30-40 at any decent muffler or regular welding shop.

im in a similar situation atm. i have a n1 downpipe and the dp has no flange on it..... so im thinking about getting a megan catback and test pipe but in order to do that i would either have to cut off the flange on the test pipe or buy a flange that fits the test pipe/cat back flange. And have that welded to the downpipe. as for whether the piping will fit..... it depends whether the flanges fit together... Take it to a muffler/exhaust shop and you could either get a flange cut off and have them make/ get a new flange that will fit, and have them weld it on in place of the old one..... then its as easy as bolting the flanges up... other than that you could always have them cut the flanges off and try to "sleeve" it. You need to be careful doing that, you could possibly get a exhaust leak. =P
