Hey guys, after selling my gst which had a megan downpipe cat delete to srs (ebay exhaust). I now am looking for something new on an awd talon. I was looking at thermal mated to PR dp. OR buying a megan muffler and getting a custom cat back made with a PR dp (

). Wanted to hear some feedback on both. I saw that some people said thermal wasn't a true 3 inch.

I run that set up. The thermal necks down to 2.5 to mate with the cat. Fitment is great on it and I would definitely recommend it. I bought it at sim and had them remove the bottle neck to make it a true 3" for an extra 80 bucks. However punishment dp is was a totally different experience for me. Material quality was great but fitment was horrible. First, the flange at the catback was clocked incorrectl. It was clocked 9-3 and it should be clocked at 11-5. Second, the flange at the o2 housing was to short causing the dp to hit the oil pan. I had to add about 5/8" section to get it to clear. So after I got those issues squared away I went to install it only to find out that the pipe was to short at the catback ad well. So lastly I had to get a about an 1" section welded on that side to get to bolt on. If I knew this "bolt on" would have been that much of pain I would have went a different route. Currently I'm looking to put in a resonator to get rid of some of the drone at highway speeds.

But mines a gsx so....

Thanks for the reply, ya my new talon is awd too. I just bought the hks system because it was on sale. But I'm curious if this one bottle necks down aswell. I feel like its better to just buy a muffler and have someone make the exhaust. :D
