When welding exhaust systems, do you use a mig or tig elder. I own a mig and want to make my own exhaust piping to save money.

You can use either welder to make an exhaust. But be warned unless you have a lift and a good amount of experience you will get very irritated and have a lot of down time. If you just get a muffler that fits and take it to an exhaust shop, after the cost of the materials you would use yourself , your probably only gonna have to pay 200 bucks or less.

I got a quote from meineke, my brother in law recommended them, they said roughly 250, I'm gonna get some more quotes from other shops around fort Campbell.

Less headache to just buy an ebay exhaust.
