I had Denso 550's in the car with a Keydiver chip in the car and the thing just wasn't starting up good on a cold engine so I bought a set of new Lucas 550's. I threw them in today and when the car is idling, the exhaust sounds so damn lumpy that it sounds like I have cams in the car. The engine area itself didn't really sound bad but the exhaust was choking like it was misfiring. Why is this? The denso's didn't do that when I had it in. Is there a way to fix that?

DSMs are famous for their shitty idle. Check for boost leaks, check your ignition timing, check your spark plugs, check your coil pack, check your power transistor, check your ecu capacitors, clean out your throttle body with carbereutor cleaner, check your timing belt's timing, and check your compression. After you've done all these things you might know whats causing the shitty idle.
