Ok here's the story.... I originally bought the apex'i N1 muffler back in 2001 and had a 3" custom piping made for it. The car only had bov, intake, exhaust; and it sounded GREAT. Partial throttle acceleration from 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd sounds like a supra from the interior. From the outside it had a similar exhaust note to the subaru wrx's.
And then.... I had it off for almost a year after i got my fix it ticket. It sat out in my backyard until just recently when I put it back on along with the megan racing 3" downpipe. I also added a 50 trim, 650's, 255 pump, maft/gm mas setup, fmic etc etc.... and I was expecting the car to sound even better.
To my surprise it sounds HORRIBLE.... sounds like an n/a eclipse. I told my friend about this and he said it could possibly be because I dropped it (my dad did when moving it from garage to backyard). So is it true that dropping the muffler can make it sound different? I know this is no big deal but the nasty ass exhaust note is driving me nuts. I hate driving the car now. You guys have any opinions on this?
