Exhaust Flames

This site may earn a commission from merchant affiliate links, including eBay, Amazon, and others.

The flames will never travel into the exhaust anymore than a couple of inches unless you have an exhaust leak between the turbo and muffler. Even gas needs oxygen to burn and with a sealed exhaust, There is no o2 coming out of the engine so no way for a flame to travel back up the exhaust

yeah I run rich, and sometimes when I shift I hear a "poof" sound come out of my exhaust. Would that be a 'flame'?
