Go out to the car right now and soak all the bolts in PB, and do it once every hour throughout the night if you feel like it, it will help, alot.

since i just now got your reply, it wont happen. :D i gotta go drive it around a little bit first anyway because i have a boost leak somewhere and i might have fixed it saturday. i started her up and she idled like crap so i was like dangit, it didnt work. only after i put everything away and was sitting at a campfire eatin a hotdog did i realize, "dur, i had the battery unplugged for about 40 minutes today, the ecu got reset." so i need to drive her around to see if it will smooth out and idle nice. i would also like my boost back. :thumb: i do have that pb blaster ready because since it is memorial day, i cant afford to break any 02 housing bolts. i plan to let the car cool down then soak it every 20 minutes or so till i start rippin her apart. i may also pull the 02 housing off last just so it gets that last 20-30 minutes. ;)

Start spraying it now and spray it when it is warm also. The heat will actually help pull the pb into the threads. A little heat and the pb is better than just pb on cold parts. It might smoke a little when warm but it is no concern because you know what the smoke is coming from.

Are you using the ATR DP? If so how is it going to bolt to another company's O2 housing? As far as I know the ATR uses a 3 bolt flange at the O2 housing instead of the standard 2 bolt mitsu one. Did you have either the DP or O2 flange changed? I would like to know as I'm considering trying to get an External gate O2 housing and switch the flange to bolt to my ATR DP.

from the atr website "This is a direct bolt on replacement. Bolts to the stock O2-Housing". that is from the downpipe section. there is an email somewhere on my computer from the president of victory performance that says their 02 housings bolt up to stock downpipes. dont know where it says that on the website though. plus, the pres himself says he has an atr downpipe with one of their housings though he could not provide me with pictures. the downpipe and the housing both had two bolt flanges on them when i got them in the mail.

even if you needed something different, they could probly make it up for you since all of both of the companies products are hand made for orders. you could probly specify a different flange or custom options if you wanted to. shoot them a mail.

UPDATE: the first coat of pb blaster has been layed. :) i dont know how to get to that third back bolt though. this is gona be a bear....

exhaust bolts are such a b*tch to get off.. maybe it's just me but every car i've worked on had so much rust it made the size go up a .5mm.. which is wonderful because it wont be a 17 nor an 18...

in which i had to waste a socket on each bolt just to get the suckers off. but yes, PB blast it, a little heat [ get teh car running ] and a breaker bar will help

I'm sorry, I didn't realize that ATR came out with a new downpipe. I have their original DP which was sold only as an O2 elim setup. The O2 housing has a 3 bolt flange where it joins the DP, much the header collector on a Chevy V8. So I am having a time finding an O2 housing that will bolt to my DP.

i see. its cool. i didnt think the 02 eliminator DP they sell came in two pieces. i thought it was just one. if it does split, you will HAVE to get the housing from ATR if they will make you one. if not that, you will have to buy a new DP and buy a new 02 housing from somewhere.

UPDATE: i got the front two bolts loose. cant get to the back ones yet as i dont have a socket to get the 02 sensor off. going good so far. seemed surpisingly easy for me to break them loose. dont know why everyone else has so many problems unless my car is just special. nothing broke yet. :thumb:

well i am pretty much screwed now, the 02 housing gasket broke when i took it out. it is the only thing that i needed to NOT break. i dont want to use a busted up gasket. better luck next time i suppose.....

i know and i thought that as well but i had heard some people say just use it over again. it was so small and brittle i doubt it would hold up much longer anyway. i think while i got it out i am gonna buy a new 02 sensor as well, that thing was a slut to get out. i also need to take off my upper IC pipe to see if something is clogging up my intake cuz i aints got no powa. :) dont think it to be a boost leak but i dont know for sure. it just seems real sluggish and sounds as if something is rattling around in the throttle body/intake manifold when the car shuts off.
