I cannot get the evoscan program to make a log. I had recently purchaced it v2.8 It loads the main screen and after connecting my openport 2.0 and I click "start logging", it brings up a few things in yellow in the info box thing. Then it just does nothing and stops responding. I know my car is running poorly and I need to make logs soon.

What computer is it? What power profile are you running>?

What OS is it?

Power profiles are ways the system will run, ie - High Performance (runs at advertised speeds, more heat, less battery life), Max battery (like it states. Slow.)

The issue may lie in the fact that you have it set in a lower power profile which will slow/drop voltage to the USB ports to save power.

I had the issues with my Asus E-pc 1009 (maybe 1004, idr). Asus has a power app installed. Set it to the highest, all works fine. But I have to keep a power inverter in my car.

Take a screen shot of what it's showing in the box. It could be your cable, how old is it?
