EvoScan cable

Yes I did you the search button, I use it everyday but I couldn't find the answer I was looking for so I decided to make a thread to get the answer straight forward.

I know I can use the openport 2.0 cable to use EvoScan and ECUflash/Ceddymods, but I was wondering if the 1.3U 16pin cord would do both things as well that is from the Evoscan website.

Will the PocketLOGGER cable work with EvoScan? I have a crappy battery operated PALM and would like to use my new lap top instead.

I doubt it, but I can't say for sure. What architecture does the PocketLogger cable use?

What exactly are you refering to when you say architecture? If you mean hardware It is a obd2 on one end and a serial on the other. I also have a serial to usb to hook up to it.

It means there's hardware within the cable and depending on what's there and how it's configured it'll work in various ways. I know EvoScan will read over ELM and OpenPort 1.3/2.0, but I don't have the app in front of me rightr now so I can't say for sure. If you just want to log you can pick up a VAG COM 409.1 cable for $5-20 shipped and it works similar to an OpenPort 1.3, but you can not tune with it.
