evo o2 senser housing

I got everything from FP this morning and went to town bolting everything up...whew...what a bunch of work....Now i'm gonna go ahead and rate my happy factor with FP while i'm at it...everything showed up quickly and nice and neat with no damage...this little T28 is one nice looking turbo...my ONLY complaint from FP is the polish job on my turbo housing...all I have to say is that I wouldnt recomend to ANYONE to ever get the housing polished from FP...not impressed and, being someone who does polishing work frequently....it was a 30 minute job and doesnt really shine all that nicely...so basically save your 95 bucks, or whatever they charged me....

now for the fun stuff...I bolted everything together...got her up in my car...and whoa...stock downpipe does not fit that Evo o2 flange...what's everyone doin at this point? What will bolt up? Anyone offer an exhaust system that will or should i just have someone make me an exhaust??? In any case, I dont want to pitch the thing, everything's port matched. Thanks for any suggestions!

you will have to get a downpipe specifically made for the evo housing. it exits at a different angle. afaik, rre is the ONLY place that has a downpipe that is made correctly. some will put on the larger flange, but not correct the angle. if the stock angle is used, it will want to become one with the transfer case. also, the rre pipe will only bolt up to one exhaust, i think apexi. none other, so you may have to get another flange welded on the cat end. the pipe is very well made, tucks under perfectly. watch out for liars, i had one pipe on and off the car a couple of times before the idiot finally admitted he was not aware of the different angle.

what are you doing with the stock downpipe anyway FP's site says it has to used with a downpipe with slotted holes

I was actually on the phone with these people...not ordering off the net. I then mentioned that I was looking for an O2 housing with more flow...wam bam thank you mam...I got me a EVO...looks super sexy...with the porting, I have enough room to park my beemer in there...well...we'll get something figured out, I'm putting in a call to rre tomorrow

Hey, I have the Rnr exhaust kit and it bolted up to my evo o2 housing. Whatever Dp you get just make sure that it has a slotted flange, any pipe with a slotted flange will bolt right up!!! Hope it helps

It has already been said but I'll say it again. Road Race Engineering makes a downpipe specifically designed to fit an evo3 o2 housing. I have one and I love it.

Road race does, but why not get a whole exhaust kit while you're at it?? How much is RRE dp??
