ok so i got the evo III big 16 g turbo. as of right now i dont have any supporting fuel mods. i was wondering if it would hurt the turbo if i ran it with my stock stuff on. or just replace the fuel pump and get a boost controller, and fuel controller. anybody got any input!!!

im running mine with just a walbro 190 (i have lots of other mods, but i guess thats the only relevant fuel mod).... i do have a logger and EGT gauge to monitor... it runs fairly well around 14 psi... but imonly doing it for a short time (old turbo was blown, so i got this one) as i have the injectors sitting right here next to me, and the afc is in the mail....
so sure.... just keep boost low... but you probably wont see much performance gain untill you get proper fuel to it... ive heard they dont really wake up untill 17 psi.... :p

It should be fine if you're running close to stock boost. I wouldn't run any higher than 12 psi just to be safe. You could drive it around the way it is right now, but dont expect a HUGE difference.

No it wont hurt the turbo. Just make sure to perform the necc. fuel and intercooler upgrades outlined in DSMtuners upgrade path before upping the boost a considerate amount.

The one major difference you will see at any boost level will be that it will hold to redline rather than drop of like the good ol' T-25.

Keep your boost moderately low, Remember the Evo 3 flows a lot more CFM then the ol T-25. Because of this boost pressure isn't your only concern. If you are running a stock fuel pump I would recommend nothing more than 10-12psi.
