Ottawa,
Just wondering if anyone has wired an Evo 8 MAS into a 1G or 2G DSM? From what I've been reading it's got even better airflow than the 2G MAS, and thought that it might be a worthwhile idea to try in my 1G, but I couldn't find any information on the pin-outs, etc. and wasn't sure if they would be the same as putting a 2G MAS in a 1G.

Any info is appreciated.

Yes the evo's and the #482 maf from some v6 galants, eclipses, and montero's. Look over on the galant board, there is post over there somewhere.

From my understanding they have around 15% more metering ability, and yes people have done it. I know over on the dsmlink boards tom has already given a nice overview of what the airflow calibration changes are to cause it to read identical to the 2g mas just with a higher window of metering ability. Personally though, if you arent overrunning the 2g MAS I wouldnt bother.

*edit* I see that you have a 1g MAS, it might be a good idea, however I'm not sure what it would take to make it flow ideally without DSMlink, might be very worthwile in your case to look it up, but like was mentioned its not just the EVO 8 MAS that has higher airflow abilities.

16g-95gsx, I actually will be purchasing DSMLink in the future. The car that I'm working on right now is a project car that I'm working on, and I don't play on having it on the road until the end of July, so there's plenty of time for me to look into this and try it out if I decide to give it a try. I'm sure that a 2G MAS will be plenty, since I'm not aiming for extremely high horsepower numbers, but I thought it was something interesting to look into anyways.
