evo 8/9 injectors the same as 1g dsm injectors?

Hello everyone. I ordered FIC blue max 1250's today. I got home and opened up my email to look over the invoice I was sent for my order. I crossed referenced the part number they had on their site (FIC) vs the part number on my invoice. Off course my luck it shows it to be for an evo 8/9.

My question is, are the evo 8/9 injectors same as the dsm injectors? Will the evo 8/9 injectors directly fit and work for 1g dsms? I sent FIC an email to inquire and see if they need to send different ones. I guess I am hoping they are the same so I wont have to wait again for the right ones to be sent.... Thanks.

yes they will. i currently have evo 8 injectors in my 1g and they work wonders!

Why not use Evo injectors? You already have an Evo intercooler.

Yup hes right they are thr same. but of corse different cc's. Replace o rings if needed. Have fun with them

I'm not sure you got my post... they're not actual evo injectors.... I ordered FIC 1250 injectors for a dsm but was sent FIC 1250 for evo 8/9 injectors. Lol.

Injectors are injectors. The only difference is gonna impedance. Otherwise, they are all the same.

Do I need to send them back for any reason? What if any differences? I know evo injectors work for dsms, I'm just making sure I'm good to go. Anything I should know about evo style injectors that is not obvious to the a newb like myself? Thanks.

You can use Evo injectors on a DSM. Therefore, my assumption is that aftermarket injectors for an Evo will work on a DSM and vice versa.

I will say this again. Fuel injectors are plug and play like spark plugs or tires. If you get Peal Hold/Low impedance injector IT WILL FUNCTION IN YOUR DSM. Does not matter if it comes off a 85 Celica or a 2011 EVO. If it is peak hold / low impedance it will work.

Basically you can't run improper impedance value injectors because they will not have the correct eletrical resistance. But I assure you as long as it has the correct impedance value then it will work correctly.

Just don't get them for a ford. The run a bit lower fuel pressure. And there are some odd impedance injectors used mainly in old porsche's and vw's that just shouldn't be used in any other cars.

Usually though there are two styles. High Impedance and Low Impedance.
