1g and 2g injectors the same?

Im looking to replace 2 injectors on my turbo swap motor as the ends are cracked. Will 2g injectors work in place of 1g 450cc blue top injectors?

Sooo...does that mean the 1G injectors are better? What about putting 1G injectors into a 2G?

thats a big NO, the 2g injectors are black tops and they have a narrower spray.

You joined yesterday, don't drive a DSM, and have 27 posts, all of which I've seen have wrong information in them. I've had a set of 2G injectors in my car as well as a set of 1G injectors. The car ran fine both ways. Hell the set of 550's in my car now came out of my friends 94. So, you're car should be fine with the mixed injectors in it. You may run into problems with the fuel rail fitting since I believe the 1G injectors are a little longer on the barrel.

How is the ECU going to even know you changed the injectors? That's the whols reason you can't throw 1000cc injectors into a car and have it run without tricking the ECU. The ECU doesn't know the difference between 450's and 1200's. It will trigger the larger injectors the same way as the stock ones.

1G and 2G stock injectors are both rated aat 450cc's. As far as the 1G inmjectors being physically larger, this is just based on looking at them. The 1G barrel appears to be longer than the 2G one. They both fit into the head and the fuel rail exactly the same way. When changing them make sure you don't lose the insulators that fit into the head and that the O rings on top of the injector are in good shape or you will have leaks.
