Hi all i am new to this forum and need help. i have a 1995 2g fwd turbo talon all stock besides fmic, and 3' downpipe all the way back, 255 walboro, and hks bov, and safc

now heres the question: i just put in evo 560s injectors, 255 walboro, and 2g maf is already there. does the car suppose to even itself out or am i running pig rich? do i have to tune it with the safc? right now my car runs and feels not as strong as it did with the 450s. by the way i am running 14b turbo any help is appreciated

thanks guys for all the information and advices. it turned out i figured the problem. i have a 2g so i need to get a evo maf to compensate the 560s injectors. i also need to put in a wideband to see what the hell i am doing.
in the other hand how do i read the wide band? if i am at idle does the lights suppose to flicker back and fouth? if i push on the gas where does it suppose to be at to be safe or that i know its right?

The 2g maf is fine if you compensate with the safc correctly. The numbers they gave you should put you in the ballpark.

Definitely get a wideband. WB's read in afr's. You must be looking at a narrowband.

No thats not a wideband its a blinky light, get a wideband worth every penny, also get a logger, dsmlink evoscan to see whats going on.

Evoscan is horrible on 95 ECUs, so he'll need DSMlink to log everything correctly. Pocketlogger would be the next best thing to log on, but sadly its not being made for OBD2 anymore and it doesn't log knock on 2Gs. I've tuned on an SAFC and wideband without a logger, its a risk but if he doesn't push the A/F ratio it should in theory be fine.

okay so i can use the 2nd gen maf with 560s? remember i have a 1995 2nd gen. if i can use this setup that will be great! now i just need a wide band and the correct settings from the safc!!!! i am going to install a wideband asap and go ahead and tune my 450s to 14 psi with the safc and see how that works. then i will reinstall the 560 and then i will need some tuning instructions so i can run what 15-17psi? anyone please if you have 2nd gen maf and 550s or 560s in a 2nd gen dsm please let me know your safc settings would be much appreciated for helping a fellow dsmer. this is my first time messing with 2gs. i usaully mess with 1gs so its a little different

Evo 560s are said to flow more like 580-590cc, so you will probably have to pull out a little fuel. Also no one asked what your base fuel pressure is set to, that can change things drastically.

And I'll also chime in that the 2g mas-550cc combo kicks ass, drop in and rock out!

Evo 8 560s flow more like 545cc. I dont know where everyone get 580 to 590 from cause thats incorrect.

They might flow a little lower in a 1g because of the lower base fuel pressure but I've had a few buddies that had there Evo injectors professionally cleaned and flow tested and both sets came back flowing around 590cc's at 43psi.

I've run a 2g maf and 560's in my old 1g with a walbro 255 stock fpr and safc and it made tuning a nightmare. Once I put in an afpr and was able to bring my base fuel pressure back down from the moon LOL tuning was so much easier. I was running so rich on the stock fpr i was leaning out the safc so much it was causing my timing to be way too aggressive and causing knock. By lowering my base fuel pressure it allowed me to add fuel on the safc and in turn my timing came down and knock disappeared.

I recently bought some used 560s and had them professionally cleaned and flow tested at about 590ccs.
