I want to raise the boost level on my 14b and get my car tuned with my evo 510 injectors, how much boost can I raise up to until the injectors hit max duty cycle?

How much you looking to run? I dont think you'll have a problem with the 510's, you'll be running out of the 14bs efficiency before running 100 IDC's.
Fuel pump upgrade is always recommended, and evo8 fuel pump (close to a 190lph)/rewire would do the trick and support you for awhile.

A rewire is always a good idea, it cant hurt anything. Most people when installing them will do the rewire, if staying at 300 is your goal and you dont plan on upgrades (which is doubtful, its addicting :p) I'd say its not 100% required, but as I said, I recommend it

Well you see this is an automatic and my dd. I plan on having it for 4 years to get me thru college (im in my first year) and dont want to fix it all the time. (AND TRUST ME, i found out already how much work you need to do on a DSM already hahah, i dont mind it however) But i just want to run about 18psi on my 14b with 550s when i get em until a 16g then im done. So rewire?

I suggest just buying a 255 walbro fuel pump with rewire kit total your going to be just over 100 dollars and you won't have to worry about your fuel pump upgrading until you decide to hit something like a 9 sec 1/4 mile LOL.

And its going to be about the same price as a 190 pump.

this is a very good thing to get espceally if you decide to get a 16g in the future an just like jjgrizz73 said your going to want more it really is that addicting.

The reason you should spend 18-20 more dollars on the rewire is because dsm's are known for having crappy wiring and if you lets say turn on your turn signal and head lights then it robs power from your fuel pump and that equals less fuel which is never a good thing. there isn't ONE reason why ANY dsmer shouldn't do the rewire if they are going to be in there doing a fuel pump anyway.

best of luck let us know what you do

Also if you plan on the future running a 16g it might be better to get something like 680cc injectors to be in the clear and low IDC. + they cost the same as 550's some places and no one likes fuel cut! LOL

p.s. if you plan on running a 16g you should get a aftermarket fuel pressure regulator, wideband,S-AFC, just to finish off your fuel upgrading. and BE CAREFUL if you run too much boost you can lift your head off your block, I'm not a 100% sure on what the max psi you can safely run with out lifting your head on a 7 bolt block but find out and be safe. other wise your going to need ARP head studs and a mls head gasket.

Best of luck to you tho.

Thanks, 18 is ok on stock head ive found that much out. I will rewire my evo pump then, it flows just about the same as a 190, but itll be more then enough. I think ill just keep the 14b on the car and run 550s and get my safc to tune along with a fuel system.

The Evo 9 fuel pump is better. Here's a link for you to glance at.

For you 2G turbo guys, you may want to look into the Evo/3G MAS & Evo 8/9 fuel injector swap. Not sure how well the 1Gs will adapt to the swap, but I'm currently in the middle of doing it myself on my GST. Why? 'Cause the newer Evo injectors (8 or 9) are rated from the factory at 560cc, but are actually 580-600cc. :thumb: And the only other things that I would recommend is an AFPR and something to log your runs.
