Oke, I don't have a lot of time to search trough the forum to find an answer cause I need to go see a guy who is parting a EVO3 in a hour or so.

I currently have a FWD. But i want to go AWD in the future.
What parts should i be looking for in a EVO 3? (drivetrain)

Gearbox, transferbox, rear diff, axles?
Whats fits and what not, or can I use parts of it for modifying?

What fwd car do you have? The only parts that bolt to the DSMs here in the States are EvoIII:
Turbo
Manifold
O2 Housing
Intake manifold etc..basically anything in the bay can be made to fit.
As far as the drivetrain, Ive read of others using the Transmission and Tcases in 2gs, and the Trans, Tcase, and Rear axles is Mirage Conversions.

I am now driving a 1G laser FWD ('89).
Planning on getting a 1G AWD shell someday in the future.

Okay, you have a 89??? Laser? I thought there only like 5 1989 models made...of course this is hearsay.

I would not suggest AWD swapping a 1g. It is alot of work because the chassis are different and it actually end up being heavier than a stock AWD car. I know if 1 member on here who HAS done it tho. Dont recall his name.

Anyways, you can still use the Evo3 trans in your FWD car, to take adavantage of the gear ratios. Why not a Mirage Evo conversion AND keep the Laser, ha.
