Evo 3 16G, and a warbro 255 but what else am i going to need to reach my goals?

I have a 7 bolt gst, the goal im trying to reach for my car, is around 20 psi or as close to that as i can come on daily driven, suporting mods i have are upper and lower innercooler piping, greddy type s reciculating bov, magnacore wires, NGK iridium IXs, hks sponge, 3" down pipe,3" cat delete, 3 " cat back, Turbo XS MBC, i have a boost gauge, i also removed the boost silinoid restricter so im already at 12 psi, i wana go with a Evo 3 16G, and a warbrol 255 but what else am i going to need to reach my goals?
 
its can be done its just easier with a bigger turbo. just like 300whp on a 14b it can be done but thats alot of work when you could just get a bigger turbo and hit it with no problems. just why go through the trouble when there is an easier way to do it

You are right on the bigger turbo for HP, but to some people its easier to stay with a mitsu turbo for compatibility issues and money. A E3 16G is the DIRECT on bolt on, when a 50 trim will require completely new exhaust from downpipe to the head not mentioning a wastegate. Unless you were to buy a 50 trim with a mitsu hotside, which is even more money.

But again, you are right, to hit 400HP a bigger turbo would make it so much easier if you have the money, but if you have the money why stop at 400HP. :thumb:
 
there are always other ways of doing it though. If he really wanted 400hp you could go with a hybird turbo. 20g compressor in a tdo5h housing and port the hot side for the top end flow. I know that it wouldn't be the same as putting on a 50 trim but is always an alternative.

But i understand money being an issuse COMPLETELY so But I think it would cost more for you to make 400hp with the e316g than if you bolted up a bigger turbo. with cams and tuning and other stuff.. I'm not at that point yet but i know that for my goals an e316g will be plenty.

There are easier ways. But then again look at my avitar. Spool-up time is everything in my world. If I could make a gt45R spool up as quick as my E3 does.... I'd have that strapped to my manifold instead.

I know it's tough to reach that mark, but people have done it with fewer mods.

I LOVE a challange.... and I'll be sure to post up some dyno sheets on here if I ever get my lazy butt down to a dyno.

Not everyone wants a dyno queen. ;) My E3 spools faster then a modded 2g with the stock t-25.

I'd just love to bring my autocross/roadracing set-up to the strip and run 11's right now.
