Saw these on ebay and was thinking of getting them for my 2gb conversion... I think they look subtle.. almost stock looking..
Any ways Has any one ever seen them on a 2gb eclipse? Any one have any pictures?
Also have you seen them in person? I dont expectt he ebst build quality from ebay, but would be nice if they look decent in person?
Thanks.

Yes, I have seen them before. They are the ones that were being sold on ebay before the Halo craze began. Since they are projector housings, they will be using H1 and H3 bulbs, so they are not as bright as stock headlights.

mys tock ones are fogged up.. so theya re not bright any ways ( I cant see at all at night..)
Also they are being described as Halo lights, are they not halo?
oh and could I not just change the bulbs?

You could change the bulbs to Silverstars, and that's about it. The bulbs are fitted for H3 and H1, which aren't exchangeable with any other types of headlight bulbs.

From the pics on that ad, I saw no halo ring, just a projector and a high-beam reflector.

Are there any good Bright projector lights? im having a hardtime finding oem lights (would much rather have oem).
Thanks.

Edit:
Also a lot of the ebay ads say
"You may change these bulbs to 4200K or higher Opti-Blue /hyper-white bulbs"
Do these 4200k lights mean better/closer to stock light output?

Also is ther an image any where comparing projectors to stock light output?
thanks.

I seen a coupple oem sits on acution... thing is
1) i dont have money now so im just looking (will get some money in like 2 weeks..)
2)I Never win auctions... i just go for buy now :p

the only company on ebay i seen make oem replacements wants 165 EACH side...
any one have expierence with ebay projectors and aftermarket bulbs? or even pictures?

Thanks.

Find someone looking to sell some OEM lights. If that ad is for the old school projectors, they are poor quality, will not light the road as well as they should (be sure to have additional fog lights or forgeddaboudit), and you will find that even the highest quality fog light bulbs, when used in those housings, will die prematurely. Should they be the newer, halo versions, I would steer clear of that vendor, as he's not picturing what he's selling.

Rice lights like that are a dime a dozen on eBay. You really owe it to yourself to spend a bit more time and find the real thing. You will be glad you did. :thumb:

If you need to keep those OEM lights for the time being.... A good way to clean dirtied lenses is Mother's Mag and Aluminum polish. Take a polish wheel and go to town....

Hello I purchased some lenses for 50 dollars and one of them was so cloudy it you couldnt see the bulbs. a cheap solution would be to try some transmission fluid and it will remove the majority of the fog. I wish i had taken pictures because to prove it but give it a shot and it should not upset.

thanks for the info and links.
But im not getting new lights because my current ones are fogged up.. but because im doing an eclispe conversion.
I am just planning to get projectors because I know my luck. When i have the money ready there will be no oem ones... or ill be ripped off (again... )

Any ways I have been reading on hid conversions... im thinking htis may be the way to go down the road.
But I am confused.
Before I thought for proper hid you need to get the hprojector+bulb out of a car that has them stock (like a lexus, bmw etc.)
but now after searching i am seeing that you can just buy ebay projectors, and put those plug and play HID bulb kits in....
is this a proper way to go? i dont want a half assed kit, i'd much rather do it properly or not at all ;)

Also i think i figured out what some of the ebay ads meant when they say
"You may change these bulbs to 4200K or higher Opti-Blue /hyper-white bulbs""
the 4200k is a type of HID bubl right?

Thanks again for all this info ;)

4200k is a temperature and nothing more, man. It gives insight into the color hue of the light emitted, but not much more. If these are truly HID bulbs, you will need an HID system to use them.

As for a HID retrofit project. Allow me to introduce you to azdave. Chances are, you will love him as much as the rest of us after spending some time reading his write ups.

Installing HIDs into eBay projector headlights. Once you've read through all those pictures, click the home icon in that gallery and there is another gallery right next to it with more HID install information. He's also got information on his mind-altering LED tail light conversion (a real head-turner), how to remove the front bumper cover with ease, and pictures of how we roll in Arizona, in case you're thinking about a move someplace where it's ungodly f*cking hot all the damn time. :p

yup, seen those already.. and thats the way i originaly though HIDs had to be done... i guess i was confused by some wrong info the internet gives out ;)
I guess if i cant find OEM ill just get projectors with the silverstar light bulbs.. then upgrade toa real retrofit HID when i have extra money to spend... or just find some OEM lights to replace the projectors.

Oh and one last thing, are there any pictures comparing the silver star lights with regular H1/H3 lights in the ebay projectors? I cant find any..?

Thanks.
