What do I do with the evap system when swapping to awd?

You do absolutely nothing to it if you're keeping it in your car. If you're deleting the system, just delete it. They're not different between gst or gsx of the same model year.

Gst has it on the tank while the gsx does not???

For anyone who find this post in the future - the 99 EVAP system by the tank is drastically different than the prior years due to the emissions rules changing, and the OP's car is a 99.
