EVAP purge solenoid

Well i have a 1998 gsx and i couldnt find my EVAP purge solenoid when it should be behind the intake mani on the firewall. My friend has a 1997 gsx and he has his. So i went out and baught a EVAP purge solenoid but theres nowhere to connect it to. So i did some research and ive seen that guys with 1998,1999 dont have this solenoid. Can someone with the years 1998 and 1999 gsx or gst please check if they have a EVAP purge solenoid.

I know its kinda late to answer this, but I do have that thing and it makes a stupid clicking noise all the time so I think its dying/dead. Where did you get the solenoid at?

98-99 the canister is behind the front bumper on the driver side and the purge solenoid is on the canister.

i recently did a emissions delete on my car stills runs the same and everything actually feels better because i don't have all that exhaust crap going back in to my intake and all my engine lights stay off since i kept all the sensors plugged in, not saying your should do but it is def-finally something to think about.
