evap purge solenoid

Where can i find it on a 98 gst? I installed 95 awd gas tank in the car for awd conversion and am now getting code p0446 (purge solenoid). I do believe it was on the tank, but there is no way to make it work on the new tank. I do know that it is under the hood on the 95 parts car, but the evap systems are different and i no longer have the parts car. Is there a way to bypass the solenoid so i don't get this code?

As far as i know..no. Unless you get dsm link becasue you can simply un-check a box for that code and it will disappear. Not 100% sure where it is though..i never pay attention to the solenoids under teh hood, i just remove them all.

I ran into this during my AWD conversion. I think you just need to splice the Purge Solenoid into the rear harness and leave it hanging.

I too am having this problem, I swapped the motor and drivetrain from a 95 GSX into a 99 GST. Does anyone have the pinouts for this solution? Or know of a way to find them? Thanks in advance!

Also, could I effectively eliminate my code by placing resistors in between the wires which would have led to it? If so, does anyone know how many ohms they are supposed to see? Thanks again!

I'm also replacing my entire wiring harness due to fire damage. What would be the best way to remove the various sensors etc? DSMLink will be my next major mod.

i got that stupid code about evap purge solenoid or whatever, someone at the shop told me its a little box next to the gas tanks that the vapors go and the valve aint opening, and that my gas is probally evaporating which would explain my 120-140 miles to a tank of gas
