Evap leak help

I need an area to start. I have replaced all the vac lines that hook to all the sensors on top of the manifold and EGR system. I'm still getting a large Evap leak code (p0455). Am I correct in thinking that the vac system is the same as the evap system or am I way off? Is I'm off then where do I need to look? I have the vac diagram for the 98-99 vac lines and I see the Evap solenoid... Is that the area I need to start looking? Thanks in advance for any help

Do you have a gas cap?

EDIT: Found your problem.

thank you to both of you. knowing me, when i put the pump back in, i didn't seal it right so thank for point me in a direction

Nope... I had the dealership pressure test the tank. No leaks at all but I couldn"t afford the smoke test to flood the evap system. I as thinking maybe a dry rotted hos somewhere near the charcoal canister but I wanted to ask first.

P0455 is a large leak, which is usually more than a dry rotted hose. It usually sets when someone removes the gas cap with the engine running.

Ok so I'll try a new gas cap.... I never would have guessed that removing it while running would do that. Lesson learned. Thanks

Any car built in or after 1996 will set a P0455 if you remove the gas cap with the engine running.
Normally all you have to do is erase the code, and stop doing that.

Well now I'm lost. I replaced the cap with a new one just to be sure. Cleared the code and now it's back on. Funny thing I noticed is I don't smell anything but right before the CEL came on again.. I got a huge whiff of gas fumes... Light comes on and fume smell goes away instantly.
