First off, yes I know a narrow-band A/F gauge is mostly useless, but I was given one and needed a gauge to fill the other side of a two-hole IP bezel (B/V gauge on other side).

Background- the car is a '97 GS-T Spyder, and using instructions found on DSMTuners Forum and the Factory Electrical Manual, the three leads from the gauge (Summit SUM-G2986) were connected directly using T-splice connectors to the listed wire leads on connectors 53 (26P) and 56 (22P) of the ECU (25, 92, and 76).

SIGNAL ECU wire color ECU pin number AFR Meter wire color
+12V-------- RED---------- 25------ RED
Ground------ BLACK------ 92------ BLACK
O2----------- WHITE------ 76------ GREEN or GRAY

Everything was installed per the instructions, but I am getting a P1791 CEL (I have a Scan Gauge II installed), which is Engine Coolant Temperature Level Input Circuit, and as the engine warms-up, the A/F gauge's LED's climb up from Lean to Rich, indicating (I think) that the gauge is not reading the O2 voltage, but instead, the ECT voltage. (BTW, the front O2 sensor is about 6 months old, so it should be working)

Yes, I've double-checked my wiring. The sensor wire is definitely attached to pin #76, which is a white wire (another white wire, for the rear O2 sensor, is alongside, pin #75). #76 is easy to find, as it is the center pin/wire in the top row.

Anyone have an idea what is going on here? (And no BS FLAK about my using a narrow-band gauge, I don't give a crap about OPINION, I'm looking for USEFUL feedback, thanks.)
