Alright well took me awhile to hook the sh*t up.Then i hooked it into the o2 sensor plug on the passenger side in that bundle of wires where vfaq told me to.It lit up on the first try but then for some reason it isn't working now.I checked my constant wire with a test light and its got power.I tried to push the plug back into the o2 sensor to see if it was just a bad connection.Nothing! What would make the gauge work. The reading of the o2? I never had one before so I don't know what really makes the gauge work.If i know what makes it work i can probably find out why its not working.I hate running wires on cars. And this is the reason LOL

Are you trying to hook up a wideband or a narrowband rich/lean afr gauge? What makes the gauge work is the voltage from the o2 sensor. There should be a power, ground, and a wire tapped into the o2 line. If your not getting any reading or very little from the o2 sensor then it is most likely dead. Oxygensensors.com will be your best bet if that is the case.

If you have just a regular parts store narrowband A/F gauge, dont even bother hooking it up. Those things are not acurate the least bit. All they are, are a light show.

Spend the money on a real A/F gauge, AEM, LC1, ect...

^^^aLTHOUGH I agree, I have seen people tune pretty well with a narrowband. The hot wire should be taped into an accesory wire, (hot with key on) And I just taped the signal wire directly to the ecu when I had one. I tryed to find the pinout of the ecu on alldata but couldnt find a very good one. look around the site. Im sure you'll find a pinout and then wire you signal wire to the o2 input of the ecm.

I highly doubt they were tuning by that gauge. I'm sure it was mostly knock tuning. Those things are not accurate, plain and simple..

But this thread is not for arguing that, so ill leave it alone.

It may be a faulty gauge. The most effective test is to get near a large body of water, throw it out several feet from the shore, and see if it floats.
If it doesn't, your problem has been solved.

If it does float, leave it there.
