Error code P0118 Not going away

I have a p0118 code on my 97 Eclipse Rs, i did go to a salvage yard to get another sensor and replaced it, however the code will not go away. If you clear all the codes with the obd2 it will still appear on the second or third start up.
Any ideas?

Possible issues...

- Low engine coolant level
- Faulty Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor
- Faulty engine coolant thermostat
- Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor harness is open or shorted
- Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor electrical circuit poor connection
