Car is going to be hitting around 400 on an LSD fwd setup, koni shocks on sportlines, and I am using evo 8 Enkei 17". The car is going to be a daily, but want to do some runs every now and then. What tires are going to benefit me in the Phoenix streets? Thanks.

Are you looking for max grip? Will you be doing straight runs or spirited cornering as well? What kind of temperatures do you see in AZ? I think Direzza's are nice but they might be a bit extreme if the desert nights get cold enough.

245/40/17 or 255 if you can fit. Look into bfg rivals or comp2, or hankook evo2 or rs3's. there's also falcon and bridgstone re-11's or re-71r's. and if you want really good traction for the track days get some qtp's. That's what I run on mine at the track and they rock totally worth it.

245 width is the maximum reccomended width of tire for the Evo 8 Enkei. 245/40/17 would likely require some slight fender rolling in the rear.
