engine vibration

idles fine. rev it up engine vibrates. i bought the car being told that they think it has a bad rod bearing but it doesnt seem as severe as that . could that still be the problem? or what do you guys think?

What do you mean by vibrate? When I think of an engine vibrating too much i think of bad motor mounts. But it sounds like its a different kind of vibration. Can you describe it better or possibly get a video? Make it easier for us to help.

definetly not a mount problem internal engine vibration best described and engine sounds rectricted form it

have you checked the balance shaft belt? I know my engine was doing some weird stuff at certain RPMs and when I went to put in a new timing belt my balance shaft belt had been stripped of all its teeth so I figured the back shaft was spinning while the front shaft was not causing vibration. Luckily it didn't damage anything. I would start there then move on to bigger things.
