Engine Swapping

Well i blew my motor, and its either rebuild or swap, what motors could i put in it? and if i wanted a stock turbo engine wut would i have to do to make it work..? thanks

Well in order to put a turbo motor in it, you would have to search. Well you would need a full long block, ecu, and all that jazz. You're probably better off buying a 2G turbo car, instead of everything for your car.

everyone will tell you to sell and get gs T or X but in order to do it you would have to do alot of searching then get ECU, Wiring Harness, Axles, oh...did i mention the motor?

The engine in the 2g nt is completely backwards from the turbo engine. If you were to put a turbo engine in your car, you would need not only the engine, wiring, ecu, but also a trans, since yours wont work. Even after you get all the parts together, you will still need to have someone, unless your skilled in welding, cut and reweld engine mounts in your engine bay. Basically you will need to move EVERYTHING around inside the bay. It's really just not worth it.

I'd suggest getting another 420a for the car, or part it out and use the money for a downpayment on a gst/gsx/tsi

Has anybody tried putting an EVO motor in a 2gNT? Then there would still be ECU and wiring, but the tranny's on the right side (dunno if the NT tranny can handle the evo's output though) Just a thought.

Just buy a 1G GSX that way you dont have to worry about crank walk and all that jazz.

I'd buy a 2gb gsx and keep money on hand for a 6 bolt swap if it does happen. 2gs look awesome and are just as mod friendly as 1gs.
