420A Engine swap into 99 GS?

Ok guys i found a great deal on a evo IV motor,tranny,ecu,wireing harness, the whole 9 yards. And its ready to drop into a car. so i was Wondering how hard would the swap be to slap it into a 99 GS. And if possible any idea on what i would need to do for the swap cause money isnt a problem right now. And i was looking at the engines closely and thought that maybe it would be a great swap for a Eclipse N/T. And i am also planing on making it AWD and had found an entire rear end for a 98 GSX also, just need to find a driveshaft or have one built which shouldnt be that hard. so If anyone has any info on a EVO IV 4g63 swap let me know.

i've seen the swap done can you get the ecu and wiring harness? it shouldnt be that hard i've seen a guy thats done it in rs' and gs' since the tranny and things fit the same in the 420A it doesnt look like an easy swap but i heard it could be done with little to no fabrication. Also the driveshaft and things, i have no idea how to do the swap but i read a thread not to long ago that told how to do it.

Yea ECU, harness everything is included in sale, But i just want it done for Shows, im tired of seeing chromed out 420a's and 4g63s taking wins when they are 9/10 Bone stock.

This thread is absolutely retarded. You don't want to buy a GSX because you have a TSI AWD. But you want to take a GS which looks identical to a GSX minus a spoiler, put in an Evo motor, which is basically the same thing as a GSX motor and then swap it to AWD, which a GSX is.

So basically you want to build a GSX, even though you don't want to buy a GSX because you already have a TSI AWD. Right, got it.

Its not a gsx because it has an EVO motor in it , fact is its for SHOW like hey look i got an evo motor in a gs. 1st Ignorant person i've seen on this site ..

There are some pics and a thread floating around here on tuners. I think it's a cool idea one that isn't played out by all means. Just buy it, pull your motor tranny out. Id say the hardest thing to accomplish would be integrating the Evo harness in with the gs harness.

yea i found a entire post on another site about the swap and will be posting pics of build as soon as i start getting parts. And just to prove people wrong, I'll have a vid of it running.

it can be done. Its not going to be all wheel drive. Your going to need to know how to weld( an I. Don't mean. That bs welding work). Is it worth it......... to be different yea an winn car shows ok. To put power to ground NO. Not to forget the custom driveshafts.

Yep i can weld, theres a way to make it AWD found a site for it will start posting pics as soon as i get the parts in and some spare time which should be in about 2-3 weeks. Hardest part is going to be finding a 2nd gen GSX rear subframe for the AWD conversion. but if i fail i will just build a custom car not sure ### kind though .

There is a video either youtube or streetfire where some guy did the swap. He also showed how he made the brackets for motor mounts.
