i hope this is in the right section. Well here goes, I just put a GT-35R on my car and had a decent tune on it so i could boost 10psi no problem without knock or anythign else. On my way to college today, it all of a sudden started to run rough, like on 3 cylinders. I checked all fuel inj. clips and all vacuum lines and everythign seems ok. I changed the plugs at school, start it up, and it runs fine, I start to drive it and no more than 10 feet down the road it starts bucking again. It also threw the CEL on, after the first time it happned. The BOV line that goes into the mani popped off, and i put it on, it ran fine again, then out of no where it started to buck again. I checked all the wires, i got spark and moved the coilpack around and nothign changed. Could it be my tune ???

- im kinda lost since my laptop jsut broke, any tips, pointer or ideas are extremely appreciated. thank you.

-letme know if theres anything else i should post:thumb:

Were you using a dsmlink for tuning on the car? Do you have any way of reading the code it threw? Its possible it could be the tune but I wouldnt say its likely. Seems to me like your describing an engine mis-fire in which case could be like a bad spark plug or wire, or even a clogged fuel injector. Not positive but it probably wouldnt help to check them out.

i just changed all the plugs, im trying to find a cheap pair of wires to see if thats just the problem.

say if i blew the clutch, or it loosened up, that wouldnt cause it to run like that would it? just throwing it out there

That shouldnt affect it, at least the way your making it sound. A clutch wont make your car seem like it is mis-firing. Only that it would grind if it doesnt disegage while the pedal is on the floor or it wont grab if your in gear meaning that it would just slip but not jerk around and make the car feel like that.

well thats good at least. my laptop should be fixed soon so ill try to see whats happening. any other guesses?

Not off the top of my head. Try doing that first and see what you come up with. Post back and I will keep checking to see what you found out and we will go from there.

thanx bro , i appreciate it. probably wont get any till tomorrow so ill post up then man. thanx again

after the newly installed COP, my car is still doing it agian. in the middle of regualr driving, it misfires, out of the blue, and then when i turn off my key. and pop start it, it goes away, but then shortly it comes right back? is my tune causing me to foul plugs? im hopign for a tune today maybe, but is there anything else i can check in the meantime??

Random misfire from the 6bolt CAS rewire?

Unforunately, i'm not familiar with DSMlink. Does it have to be active on the laptop all the time to ignore the Random misfire code, or is it coded into the link chip via flash memory.

im lost about that too man, and my laptop is getting fixed right now so i have to use a buddys that dies every 5 minutes. thats a good question though, anyone know the answer????

any clue about that CAS rewire talk? my car is still only doing it randomly. last night it was fine for liek 3 hours, then this morning, 5 mins down the road, it throws the code again. please any help at all, im so lost!!!!!

not sure why im responding to this but I guess im bored....

First of all what the heck is your setup?????????

What was your setup like when it ran right???????

We need to know the whole story.................

Off the wall id say you need to tune the damned thing right and quit guessing. You cant guess at this its either done right or not. Sounds like your really rich or really lean maybe because of the tune or maybe because you have a boost leak somewere. When you start to tip into the throttle and you go from one loop to another if your ecu cant adjust for the air its metering the car is going to hicupp and run like shit whether it be rich or lean.

MAS metered cars HAVE to have no boost leaks to work correctly. If you wanna have leaks switch to speed density......
