engine rev after clutch engaged

after pushing in the clutch and letting off the gas to shift gears my throttle thends to 'stick' if thats the word and rev a little more even with my foot completely off of the gas, any ideas on what could be causing this?

possible sticking throttle cable/Throttle body. vacuum leak.

this could very possibly be an IAC (Idle Air Control) valve that is sticking open, they can be removed and cleaned with carb cleaner.

stiff throttle cable, or what they said, my talon did that and i just put in new cable and it never did it again
