So I just replaced the clutch and fly wheel in the eclipse then driving down the road the water pump went out driving the interstate parked it let it cool off then we nursed her home got home found out the head is warped... well it's got 210k on factory almost everything so I'm looking at a decent rebuild. Any one have any good N/T builds I should look at for some inspiration?

Well I get my the second half of my enlistment bonus the first on top of a pay check that I don't need so its not really an issue it's more of a this is going to be a slow every thing is matched and tuned to create a fun driving time... That being said at the current point I'm budgeting roughly between 5,500 to 7,000.

Thanks for the offer Bullet but this one I'm going to do on my own however out of all the suck that was yesterday I'm dding a 1973 Plymouth Valiant Scamp so I had a bit of a happy ending.

Bullet I take it that's a bit much? I'm accounting for a couple new body parts and other odds and ends.

Given that you can buy a whole new 420A DSM in good shape for less than that, your estimate is exceptionally high. You could buy a quality used long block for well under $1k, or build your own using aftermarket parts for under $2k.

But since its your DD I would suggest maybe a slight increase in CR(if its available), so you can still run on pump. Get megasquirt and build the head, and get all the bolt ons. You should be able to get all that with the money you have ready to invest.
