im rebuilding an engine for my friend. its a 2.0 turbo motor out of a 91 plymouth laser.he wants to run 17 psi every day and turn it up to about 21 or so when he races it. whats some good internal parts to use? we are thinking of using the same 1g rods, maby same pistons, ballance shaft eliminator kit, metal head gasket, not sure on what cams to use. does this sound ok? or should we just use stock internals? he wants 350 400 hp with a very small budgit. any imput would help :thumb:

stock motor has gone over 500whp.

psi means nothing, keep adding psi until you get too much knock. go ask in the no0bie section.

Like dsmturboawd said a stock 6 bolt engine can handle what your friendshas plans for. But if you are set on doing a rebuild or have plans for more power in the future you could always do a 2G piston and 1G big rod combo.

well the engine is a spare and is already tore apart. the laser has no engine in it. so were rebuilding it. i just wanted to know of some good parts to use like ones for more hp than stock, and pretty cheap to get.
cams pistons ect. thanks lunch_box :thumb: you got the idea. sorry poorly stated dsmturboawd. whats some good cheap parts for some more hp? i know alot of mods to do the prob is money. LOL cant get very far without that ;)
