okay so its a long story get ready. I have a galant vr-4 that i bought with a blown engine.
I put used pistons and rods in, of course new bearings and rings. After putting everything back together we tried starting the car. We went to jump start the battery and all we could get was everything in th car worked but when i went to turn the key it would just click and try to turn over but couldnt. We later found out that battery was beyond dead. So we decided to push start the car and everytime we did the car would come to a hault like it was locked. a couple of times it would leave a skid mark. Well I had to do a water pump install so when i went to put it back to TDC I put the big bolt in and the crank would not move at all it was just locked no mater how much force I tried. The worse part was it was moved from push starting it about an half an inch. PLEASE HElP ME!!!! I dont know what is wrong!!!

Your engine is sized. theres no more crankin for unless, you replace everything on the inside with new parts, have the crank resurfased, bore the block, get over sized pistons, so on so on. I went thru that on my GSX

SO>>>>>> After you assembled the Rod Caps, BEFORE you put the Head on - I take it that it spun by HAND then? & AFTER you installed the Head, it HAD to spin by hand when you put the Timing Belt on - SO... did you DRAG this VR4 when you bought it & LOCK UP the Drivetrain maybe? - Because push starting a VR 4 is a REALLY, REALLY bad idea.
